Tinta Wita Tipi Senior Center celebrates five years

The Prairie Island Indian Community opened a senior living center called Tinta Wita Tipi in June of 2018 at 24240 130th Ave in Welch. Originally opened to serve the elders of Prairie Island, the center has the capacity to serve as a home for up to 20 people at a time. Since its conception, it has been open to all seniors of all backgrounds.

HONORING OUR HISTORY, LOOKING TO THE FUTURE

Ebenezer Care Center was home to many older adults, offering short-term rehabilitation, skilled nursing care, memory care, deaf services, adult day center, and spiritual health services. While Ebenezer Care Center has now closed, Ebenezer Integrated Care & Rehab, which is part of the Fairview Community Health and Wellness Hub that opened in 2022 at the former St. Joseph’s Campus in downtown St. Paul, is now open.
